"...What race are you running in life? Is it the rat race, where every minute of every day is filled with stuff to do – work that never seems to get done – chores and errands and household work. Or are you in a race that is focused on nothing but yourself? Or just on the wrong things – things that do not help but harm you? Or are you in the race that God designed for you – because He cares deeply for you – because He loves you so much? Enough to die for you... Let us pray… Loving and merciful God, we thank You for the race that You invite us to be a part of. We thank You that we can come to You, fix our eyes on Jesus, and live in perseverance and joy, the way that Jesus did. But that is so difficult, Lord. It is so tough to choose each day to serve You, to follow You, to love You – and You alone. Help us, we pray, to run the race You desire – to fix our eyes on Christ – and to grow in our faith. We ask this in the name of the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, Jesus Christ, Amen." ~excerpt from Pastor Mike's sermon yesterday. You can read more on www.kirkpatrickchurch.org/

This clock decorates our office every Christmas season and makes me sad when it's "time" to put it away. This year it staying up. If you are lucky enough to be in meeting in the library on the hour, I hope it helps you remember the gift of God's promise and makes you smile.
